So what is NEXT DAY notes?

NEXT DAY is a weekly devotion/study guide that takes you beyond Sunday’s sermon and deeper into God’s word. 

NEXT DAY notes examine the biblical text of Sunday’s sermon. Yet NEXT DAY notes are developed independently of the Sunday message which allows the Spirit to reveal additional truth and insights. Most often the themes will be similar but the focus and applications will usually be different.

NEXT DAY notes can be used by families, individuals, and groups of any age to help pursue a better understanding of the Bible with a goal of a growing love for the Word of God and the God of the Word.

Here is what you'll find in a NEXT DAY notes:

1. The Text you’ll be exploring 
2. The Theme of the text
3. An Opening Question
4. Insights from the text
5. Characters in This Passage (when studying a narrative like the Gospels)

6. Definitions / Meanings

7. So What? - interpretation and application questions

8. Wrapping it Up - the conclusion 
9. Closing / Application Question

So let’s get started. Grab your bible and a pen, and ask God to reveal the truth of the word to you. Here is the most important thing: read the text (the Bible passage you’ll be studying)... Then look at the Insights. Answer the questions. You should jot down your answers to the questions and any thoughts that come to mind. Keep your completed study guides in a folder or a binder for future reference.
