Get Involved.

You know, sometimes we kind of wonder what we're doing. What's next. What we're supposed to do after we become a Christian. What's the next step? How do I get involved and really make a difference? And sometimes, we have this idea that all we are called to do after we become a Christian is to wear a sweater vest, smile and spread "Jesus loves you's" all around.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus calls us to connect with each other and get involved in His work. It's the idea behind the "great commission" that Jesus gives just before He ascends to heaven. The idea is, that once we come to know Jesus and really trust Him, understanding that He wants the best for us, we will be moved to have compassion on others and with our changed hearts, desire to serve and love one another despite our differences.

Here at Calvary Chapel Camarillo, there are a variety of ways for you to get involved.

Probably the easiest and most obvious is way to get involved is to connect with God and others during one of our worship services on sunday or wednesday, or in our college service, high school group, or jr. high group as we study the Bible and sing songs of worship to our God.

Taking the next step would look something like joining a small group, getting involved in men's, women's or singles' ministries so that you can grow in your faith and what it means to practically live the Christian life.

Getting involved even further means that it is time to start getting outside our own selfishness and making a decision to reach out to serve others in love, both those immediately around us, as well as those in our surrounding communities and throughout the rest of the world.

We want to help you walk through these steps so that you first and most importantly, connect with God, then learn more about him as you seek to grow, and as you grow, learn to reach others and serve in our community.
